Las Vegas Holidays
If one is looking for non-stop entertainment then Las Vegas is certainly the place to be with its many top attractions all vieing for attention. However, before getting straight into the entertainment value of such an exciting place it would be wise for the would-be traveller to pay a degree of attention first on planning their trip, as the less stress free this is the more energy they will have to enjoy their visit - and energy they will need!
Depending upon where the traveller is departing from, there are several routes into Las Vegas itself, one of which, of course, is by air to McCarran International Airport.
Alternatively, if one`s geographical circumstances allow it, the visitor to Las Vegas could always drive there and for those travelling from Los Angeles a trip on Interstate 15, via the Mojave Desert, is indeed a breathtakingly beautiful one. However, it does take approximately four hours and can be even longer during busy periods so it is advisable to check first the road and weather conditions before setting off!
For those travelling from Phonenix the journey is approximately 290 miles and they need to take the U.S. 93 North out of the city and then follow it straight down into LV itself, whereas those travelling from San Francisco need to take I-80 down to Reno and then the U.S. 95 South to Las Vegas.
Unfortunately there is no railway service into Las Vegas but visitors can travel via Amtrak to both Arizona and California and then take a Greyhound Bus into Las Vegas. Bus services can be found between Las Vegas and San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phonenix and San Diego. When choosing where to stay in Las Vegas one need look no further than the fabulous Las Vegas Strip which boasts a host of magnificent hotels that glow in the most inviting colours in the dark.
However, on the streets themselves one can expect to see electric flashing lights and soaring fountains, as well as hear the most beautiful music playing - so even when the traveller may (eventually) wish to go to sleep - this place never does! Once travel and accommodation have been sorted then the fun really begins as one is literally spoilt for choice when it comes to places to go, where to eat and what to do. However, there are a number of places that are particularly popular to visitors of Las Vegas and these include The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, which is one of the best aquariums in the country, or why not go on an X-Scream thrill ride at Stratosphere Tower which tips people over the edge to view a thousand feet drop below?
For those who really want to eat after all this excitement then there are many fabulous restaurants to choose from offering some of the best food and dining facilities the world has to offer! However, there are some particular hot spots to eat at in Vegas and these include Wolfgang Puck`s Spago which can be found in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, Picasso and Bellagio where many a celebrity can be spotted, as well as Planet Hollywood and The Golden Gate for a "Vegas Classic" such as shrimp cocktails or steak and potatoes which can be indulged in whilst soaking up the fantastic environment.
For those who wish to indulge in some serious retail therapy Las Vegas is certainly the place to be as over the years it has grown to be one of the world`s biggest shopping ports of call.

here. For example, Las Vegas Boulevard South is one of the city`s largest shopping streets where one can find many fabulous boutiques, shopping malls and casinos where the best of designer fashion to souvenirs (traditionally dice clocks and playing cards) can be found.
Eventually, however, everybody has to go home and whether that be by car, road or on many of the flights that take off from this fascinating place where escapism abounds, surely one cannot hope to be back one day for more of its action!!
